NATIONAL DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Neely Musgrave

Designed under the creative leadership of an impressive role model, Neely Musgrave, the America’s Ideal Miss Organization is built upon a nurturing foundation formed by an experienced pageant participant, businesswoman and mother, who truly believes in the positive impact pageantry can have on young women.  Neely is an accomplished pageant competitor, judge, and director.  With over 35 years of experience, Neely’s multifaceted career includes being a tap, jazz and ballet teacher, a successful national hair show model for Redken, a member of the NBA Denver Nuggets Dance Team, a professional cheerleader for the NFL Denver Broncos, and a Pro Bowl cheerleader.  She went on to serve as Director of Cheerleaders for the Denver Broncos and received 2 Super Bowl rings for her participation with the team during the 1997 and 1998 championship seasons.  As a world traveler for Redken and the NFL, she has modeled, performed, and directed in many U.S. cities as well as international locations such as Barcelona, Spain; Tokyo, Japan; and Mexico City, Mexico.

Neely continues to live a fast-paced life as a businesswoman and mother of 4 young adults.  She is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, has lived in 10 different states, and has called Atlanta, Georgia home for the past 15 years.

As an experienced pageant competitor and pageant mom, Neely is a true believer in the world of pageantry. She attributes her experiences in pageants, especially interview opportunities, to playing a crucial role in her most cherished life successes. Giving back to others, investing in the next generation, and developing girls into strong, independent influencers are Neely’s priorities. Neely gratefully acknowledges she would not be where she is today without the influences and thoughtful guidance of generous people.

Community Engagement & Impact

will always be a primary focus of America’s Ideal Miss. Our pageant is designed to encourage each delegate to embrace a meaningful commitment to service by becoming a change-maker for a charitable platform that resonates with her. We want to help plant and water seeds of leadership within our delegates, encouraging a lifestyle of connected, passionate giving.

Initiatives

NATIONAL PLATFORM

Feeding America has been selected as the national social impact initiative for the America’s Ideal Miss organization. For over 40 years, Feeding America has led the fight to end hunger in America also known as “food insecurity”. Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. As our nation has endured the pandemic, the worsening of our communities’ food insecurity has become even more apparent. The number of people in the US struggling with hunger has grown to more than 42 million since our nation has felt the initial effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization—a powerful and efficient network of 200 food banks across the country. In addition to feeding people who face hunger, they work to raise awareness about the issue, advocate for policies to protect people in need and conduct in-depth research to find solutions to hunger. America’s Ideal Miss strives to make a local impact at each pageant location in support of our national platform. Every year, we ask that each national delegate make a donation to support the foodbank selected within the Feeding America’s network.

Individual Platform
Setting your Stage for Service

In addition to our combined national support of Feeding America, it is crucial that every person find a personal connection to a particular social initiative and work to create a lasting, meaningful improvement. We challenge every delegate to give back to her community in a way that enriches both society and her life. Each national title holder will have the opportunity to showcase their own social initiative and volunteer work through our website and social media to further their impact.
